Onboarding Vendors

Add vendors (bars, food stalls, merchandise) to your event so they can process cashless payments.

Note: Before being added to an event, vendors need to register themselves and their vendor company directly on CHI Backstage.

Adding a Vendor

1. Go to Events > Vendors in CHI Backstage.
2. Click Add Vendor.
3. Fill in the vendor details:
   • Vendor Name — e.g., "Main Bar", "Food Truck A"
   • Contact Person — Name and email of the vendor operator
   • Category — Bar, Food, Merchandise, etc.
4. Click Save.

Vendor Accounts

Each vendor receives:

• Team Management to create multiple login credentials and facilitate their team's use of the POS interface
• Product catalog access to view and manage their items
• Sales dashboard to monitor their own performance
• Payment Setup to configure their payout settings

Assigning to Events

• A vendor can be assigned to multiple events.
• Per event, you configure which products they sell and at what prices.
• Vendors only see data for events they're assigned to.

Communication

When you add a vendor, they receive an email with:

• Instructions to log in
• Links to set up their product catalog
• Event-specific details (dates, location, setup times)
• An invitation to accept or reject the proposed vendor fee and revenue sharing agreement with the event organizer
