Pairing a Wearable via the App & PWA

Connect your event wristband or NFC wearable to your CHI account for contactless entry and payments.

What Is a Wearable?

A wearable is an NFC-enabled device (usually a wristband or bracelet) provided by the event organizer. Once paired to your account, it lets you:

• Enter the venue with a tap.
• Pay at vendors without pulling out your phone.
• Link to your wallet for seamless token spending.

How to Pair Your Wearable

1. Open CHI PWA or CHI App and go to Wallet or Profile > Wearables.
2. Tap Pair Wearable or Add Wearable.
3. Connect your wearable using one of two methods:
   • NFC: Hold your wearable near the NFC reader on your phone (usually the top back of the device) until it is detected.
   • Serial Code: Manually enter the unique serial code printed on your wearable into the app or PWA.
4. The app or PWA will register the wearable.
5. Select which ticket to link the wearable to (if you have multiple).
6. Tap Confirm — your wearable is now paired.

NFC Requirements

• iPhone: NFC is supported on iPhone 7 and later. Make sure NFC is enabled in settings.
• Android: Most modern Android phones have NFC. Enable it in Settings > Connected devices > NFC.

Tip: If your phone's NFC isn't working, you can also pair your wearable at a physical registration desk at the event venue.

Troubleshooting

• Wearable not detected? Remove your phone case and hold the wearable flat against the back of your phone for 3-5 seconds.
• NFC not available? Check that your device supports NFC and that it's enabled in settings.
• Already paired error? The wearable may be linked to another account. Contact event support for help.
