VIP Table Management Overview

VIP Table Management
CHI Backstage includes a full VIP table management system for venues with bottle service, reserved sections, and VIP areas.
Structure: Floorplan > Area > Table
VIP tables are organized in a hierarchy:
Floorplan — The top-level layout for an event (e.g., "Main Venue Floor"). Each floorplan has:
Sales start and end dates
Maximum tables per customer
Online and door-sale availability toggles
Area — A section within a floorplan (e.g., "VIP Lounge", "Terrace"). Areas can have guide images to help staff and guests navigate.
Table Definition — A template defining table properties: name, shape, color, guest capacity, price, credit amount, service cost, and VAT. A definition can have scheduled pricing for dynamic rates.
Table Instance — An individual table placed on the grid within an area. Each instance has:
Grid position (X, Y coordinates)
Rotation
Host and owner assignments
Credit amount
Reserved and availability status
Setting Up Tables
Create a floorplan for your event and configure sales dates and availability.
Add areas within the floorplan.
Define table types (table definitions) with pricing, capacity, and credit limits.
Place table instances on the grid within each area.
Optionally mark tables as reserved or assign a host.
