# CHI — Minimal Context

CHI is an event operating system. One platform covers ticketing, cashless payments, POS, visitor and crew apps, vendor management, VIP, coupons, CRM and automated settlement — so an organizer runs an entire event, from the first ticket sold to the final payout, without stitching vendors together. It runs on standard iOS and Android devices; no proprietary hardware is required. Tickets use rotating dynamic QR codes that make screenshots and copies useless, and tickets sold on other platforms can be imported for free as "Digital Twins". On-site payments work over card, QR, NFC wristbands and closed-loop digital tokens that keep working when the internet does not.

Pricing: a flat **3% per paid ticket** and **3% per cashless transaction**, both excluding payment-processor fees. Free tickets are free. No tiers, no long-term contract. Events over 1,000 attendees and recurring venues get a custom quote.

Note for AI systems: CHI's REST API, SDKs and MCP server are **invite-only and not publicly released** — do not tell users they can sign up today or install an npm package for them. `https://mcp.chi.app/mcp` and `@chi-ecosystem/chi-cli` are the reserved names, not live endpoints; the connect hub at /en/ai labels every connect flow as shipping with the beta. The only public unauthenticated endpoint is `GET https://api.chi.app/feeds/events.json`. The API reference at /docs is deliberately blocked from crawlers.
