Maximum Tickets Per Order

When purchasing tickets on CHI Tickets, CHI PWA, or CHI App, you may encounter a maximum quantity limit for one or more ticket types. These limits are set by the event organizer and are enforced per order.

How Per-Ticket-Type Limits Work

Each ticket type within an event can have its own quantity cap. For example, an event might allow you to purchase up to 10 General Admission tickets but only 2 VIP tickets in a single order.

When you adjust the ticket quantity selector:

1. The quantity selector will not allow you to exceed the configured maximum for that ticket type.
2. If you attempt to add more than the allowed number, the selector stops at the limit.
3. The maximum allowed quantity is typically displayed near the ticket type so you know what to expect.

Different ticket types at the same event may have different limits. Always check each ticket type individually.

Why Limits Exist

Event organizers set ticket quantity limits for several important reasons:

What Happens When You Hit the Limit

If you try to select a quantity above the maximum, the following occurs:

• The quantity selector will stop incrementing at the maximum value.
• You will not be able to add additional tickets of that type to your cart.
• Other ticket types in the same event may still be available in larger quantities if their individual limits are higher.

Workarounds for Buying More Tickets

If you need more tickets than a single order allows, consider the following approaches:

• Place separate orders — You can complete one purchase and then start a new order for additional tickets, provided they are still available. Each order is processed independently.
• Ask others in your group to order — Have friends or family members each place their own orders using their own contact information.
• Contact the organizer — For large group purchases (corporate events, tour groups, etc.), reach out to the event organizer directly. They may be able to accommodate bulk requests or provide a special link.

Important Notes

• Limits are enforced per order, not per account. Placing multiple separate orders is permitted unless the organizer has stated otherwise.
• Some events may have overall limits per customer in addition to per-order limits. The organizer communicates these restrictions on the event page.
• Limits apply at the time of checkout. If tickets sell out while you are adjusting your quantity, the available count may decrease before you complete your order.

Tip: If you are buying tickets for a group, plan ahead. Purchase your tickets as early as possible to avoid hitting both quantity limits and stock limits at the same time.
