Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your CHI Backstage account with two-factor authentication.

What is 2FA?

Two-factor authentication requires a second verification step when logging in — in addition to your password. Even if someone knows your password, they can't access your account without the second factor.

Setting Up 2FA

1. In CHI Backstage, navigate to your security settings.
2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password).
4. Enter the 6-digit verification code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
5. Save your backup codes — These let you log in if you lose access to your authenticator device.

Logging In with 2FA

1. Enter your email and password as usual.
2. You'll be prompted for a verification code.
3. Open your authenticator app and enter the current 6-digit code.
4. You're logged in.

Lost Access to 2FA?

• Use a backup code to log in.
• If you don't have backup codes, contact support with identity verification.

Note: 2FA is available for CHI Backstage accounts. The CHI PWA uses phone verification and a 6-digit passcode for authentication.
