Understanding Your Order Summary
Every time you make a purchase on CHI Tickets, an order summary is displayed so you can review exactly what you are paying for. This summary appears throughout the checkout process and again on the confirmation page after your order is complete.
Where to Find the Order Summary
The order summary is visible in two places:
- During checkout — A summary bar or panel is shown at the bottom of the screen as you progress through each step. It updates in real time as you add tickets, select add-ons, or apply discount codes.
- On the confirmation page — After your payment is processed (or your free reservation is confirmed), a detailed summary shows the complete breakdown of your order.
What the Order Summary Includes
A typical order summary contains the following line items:
Tickets
Each ticket type you selected is listed with:
- Ticket name — For example, "General Admission" or "VIP Weekend Pass."
- Quantity — The number of tickets of that type.
- Unit price — The price per ticket at the active pricing phase.
- Subtotal — Quantity multiplied by unit price.
If you selected multiple ticket types, each appears as its own line item.
Add-Ons
If you chose any add-ons during checkout, they appear below the tickets section with the same level of detail:
- Add-on name — For example, "Parking Pass" or "Meal Package."
- Quantity — How many of that add-on you selected.
- Unit price — The price per add-on.
- Subtotal — Quantity multiplied by unit price.
Service Fees
Some events include a service fee that covers platform and processing costs. When applicable, the service fee is shown as a separate line item so you can see exactly how much it adds to your total. Service fees are set by the event organizer and may be a flat amount per ticket or a percentage of the ticket price.
VAT / Tax
If the event or organizer is subject to value-added tax or other applicable taxes, the VAT amount is displayed as its own line. The summary clearly separates the pre-tax subtotal from the tax amount so there are no surprises.
Discount
If you applied a coupon or discount code, the discount is shown as a negative line item. It displays the code you entered and the amount deducted from the subtotal.
Total
The final total at the bottom of the summary is the amount you will be charged. It is the sum of all tickets, add-ons, service fees, and taxes, minus any discount.
Currency Display
All amounts in the order summary are shown in the currency configured by the event organizer. This currency is fixed for the event and applies to all buyers regardless of their location. The currency symbol or code (e.g., EUR, USD, GBP, THB) is displayed alongside each amount.
CHI Tickets does not perform currency conversion. The price you see is the price you pay. Your bank or card issuer may apply their own conversion rate and fees if the event currency differs from your card's billing currency.
Reviewing Before Payment
Before you confirm your payment, take a moment to verify the order summary:
- Confirm the correct ticket types and quantities.
- Check that any add-ons you selected are listed.
- Verify the discount code was applied if you entered one.
- Review the total including service fees and tax.
If anything looks incorrect, use the back button to return to the relevant step and make adjustments.
Order Summary After Purchase
The confirmation page shows the same summary with an added order reference number. This reference is also included in the confirmation email sent to the address you provided. Keep this reference handy in case you need to contact the organizer about your order.
Tip: If you are unsure about a line item in your order summary, review the event page for descriptions of each ticket type and add-on before completing your purchase.
